Trailer Warranty Terms & Conditions

2-Year Structural Warranty

Century Camper Trailer Pty Ltd warrants that the structural components of the trailer, limited to the main chassis and frame, are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of original purchase under normal use. This warranty applies to structural integrity only and does not extend to wear and tear items, consumable components, or parts covered under separate warranty periods. This 24-month warranty applies to purchases made after 27/04/2026, while purchases made prior to this date are covered by a 12-month warranty period. Trailers used for hire, rental or commercial applications are subject to a reduced warranty period of three (3) months due to increased usage. Where a defect covered by this warranty arises, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective component.

1-Year Component Warranty

The following components are covered for one (1) year from the date of original purchase against defects in materials and workmanship, including hydraulic braking equipment, seals, electrical wiring systems, and winches. These components are covered for manufacturing defects only and are not covered for normal wear and tear, overloading, improper use, improper load distribution, impact damage or other external factors.

 Australian Consumer Law

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

 Intended Use & Operating Conditions

This trailer is designed for on-road use under normal driving conditions. Use on unsealed roads or rough terrain may result in increased stress and may affect warranty coverage where such use has caused or contributed to the damage or failure.

Driving Behaviour, Loading & Impact

The trailer must not be overloaded and must be operated appropriately for road conditions. Damage caused by impact, harsh driving, or improper loading is not covered where it has contributed to failure.

Owner Responsibilities & Maintenance

Under normal use and operating conditions, an initial inspection must be carried out within 3 months or 500 km (whichever occurs first) as part of the initial run-in period, and wheel nuts must be re-torqued after this period. Ongoing servicing must be conducted every 6 months or 5,000 km, whichever occurs first. Where the trailer is used under more demanding conditions, including heavy loads or frequent use, more frequent servicing may be required. Failure to perform appropriate maintenance may affect warranty coverage where such failure has caused or contributed to the damage or failure.

Pre-Use Inspection

Before each use, the operator must carry out basic safety checks to ensure the trailer is in a safe and roadworthy condition, including, but not limited to, checking wheel nuts for tightness, tyre condition and pressure, coupling and safety chains, lights and wiring, and the general structural condition of the trailer. Failure to perform reasonable pre-use checks may be considered misuse or neglect and may affect warranty coverage where such failure has caused or contributed to the issue.

Service Records

The owner is expected to keep reasonable maintenance and service records containing sufficient detail to demonstrate that appropriate maintenance has been carried out, including the date of service, work performed, and, where applicable, parts replaced or inspected. General or non-specific receipts without adequate detail may not be sufficient to demonstrate that required maintenance has been performed. The Company may request reasonable evidence of maintenance to assess a warranty claim, and where sufficient evidence is not provided, the Company reserves the right to decline or limit the claim to the extent that it is not reasonably possible to assess the cause of the issue or where the lack of maintenance has caused or contributed to the failure.

Misuse & External Damage

Damage caused by misuse, overloading, improper load distribution, modification, accidents, environmental exposure, or continued use after a fault becomes apparent is not covered under this warranty where such factors have caused or contributed to the damage or failure.

 Wear, Surface & Non-Structural Items

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, surface or appearance-related conditions, or characteristics inherent to materials and manufacturing processes, including items subject to wear such as bearings, tyres, brake components, jockey wheels, mesh, straps and accessories, as well as minor surface irregularities, white rust (being the natural oxidation of galvanised surfaces), and variations associated with the hot-dip galvanising process. Minor unevenness or surface distortion of floors or panels may occur due to galvanising and is considered a normal characteristic that does not affect structural integrity. Such conditions are not considered manufacturing defects unless a defect in materials or workmanship is proven.

 Third-Party Repairs & Modifications

Repairs, modifications or alterations carried out by any third party are undertaken at the owner’s risk. The Company is not responsible for the quality, workmanship or outcomes of such work. Where third-party work has caused or contributed to any damage or failure, warranty coverage may be declined or limited accordingly.

Warranty Claims

Claims require proof of purchase and must be assessed by Century Camper Trailer Pty Ltd or a repairer nominated by the Company where applicable. To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not responsible for any costs associated with travel, accommodation, transport, loss of use, downtime or delay in repair or replacement arising in connection with a warranty claim, unless such costs are required to be covered under the Australian Consumer Law.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of income, business interruption or loss of opportunity.

 Non-Transferability

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser.

Acknowledgement

By accepting delivery, the purchaser acknowledges the trailer condition and terms.
