50mm Trailer Coupling
Trailers with an Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM) not exceeding 3.5 tonnes must be equipped with a quick-release coupling. This 50mm Trailer Coupling lock is designed for tool-free engagement and disengagement, featuring a positive locking mechanism with a provision for a secondary independent locking device. The locking mechanism must be easily verified by visual inspection.
A fixed non-brake coupling is typically compatible with a 50mm Australian Standard tow ball, suited for trailers either without brakes or with brake systems that do not require activation through a sliding or overrun coupling. These couplings are available in various mounting styles, with a capacity of up to 2000kg.
